I want to be able to provide a USA address, and have the product I buy online be shipped to me in Puerto Rico.

November 24th, 2008 admin Posted in Business Shipping Services 2 Comments »

Sometimes when I try to buy something online it says that they cannot ship it to Puerto Rico.

I want to be able to buy it giving a USA address, preferable in Florida, so that the merchant can ship the product there. Then, the shipping business in such location would ship it to me in Puerto Rico. Of course there would be another shipping charge for such service.

I know there is a business in Florida that does that but I cannot remember the name.

perhaps you can go to a shipping and packing store that has p.o. box rentals that can forward your mail to you. The UPS store here does that. USPS will also forward you're mail, and i believe that is free.

Need help! How to market and advertise my fashion wholesale business?

November 22nd, 2008 admin Posted in Business Shipping Services 3 Comments »

Me and my friend started a small design room. We provide import and manufacturing services for local fashion designers/labels/companies.

We do garment development, production management, quality assurance, and shipping arrangement.

Our production line is in China, so our prices are reasonable. Also, we are happy to work with small orders.

Now I have a question, me and my friend want to spread this business to the public. What’s the most economical way in marketing and advertising our this small business?

I've personally found myspace to be a great way to advertise my business.

I also specialize in promotional poducts which people love FREE stuff. You might want to consider investing in giveaways for people, something with your logo, etc. Also, start an email newsletter, gave up emails from friends, family, online and send an email introducing your business. It will get forwarded to others and so on and so on. There are many options.

I would like to create and print my own business cards for free. What is a free site without "surprise" costs

November 20th, 2008 admin Posted in Business Shipping Services 3 Comments »

Everytime I search "free business cards", they always have a hidden shipping and handling fee. I would like to advertise an at home service and I cannot afford a professional printing.

If you are going to make it big with your business…then producing a professional looking item representing your company, is an absolute must.

You start handing out home-made material and people aren't going to touch your business with a ten foot pole.

At this point, understandably, you don't have the funds for such a thing…so if you must print your own…I suggest doing a very small quantity…just enough to get you by till you can lay out $$ for a professional image.

Bookmark www.myezprinter.com for future reference.

There are also some good business card marketing tips there.

Overnight Flat Rate Shipping?

November 18th, 2008 admin Posted in Business Shipping Services 2 Comments »

What is it? I ordered an item with that shipping service and it said "One business day*" but it is now 2 days since they shipped the item (I asked if the item was physically shipped yet)….so is overnight, really mean overnight?
Item was physically shipped on Friday or Monday.

With Fedx, UPS and DHL and even the post office, you can specify overnight delivery. If it a weekend is involved, they had to pay extra for Saturday delivery.

To track the package, go on their website with the tracking number from their email. It may have been sent to your old address if not updated in their records, especially if that info matched your credit card.

They say the postal service is losing business, but do you think Ebay helps it?

November 16th, 2008 admin Posted in Business Shipping Services 4 Comments »

I heard that over the past decade the post office lost a lot of business because people now use e-mail instead of regular mail, but 80% of items shipped in Ebay sales use the US Post Office, plus packages cost more than regular letter stamps. And Ebay isnt even the only site that sells things. I think the internet is helping the post office, true?

Junk mail was the staple of the USPS for many years. Many advertisers dropped junk mail ads in favor of telemarketing. It wasn't the Internet that hit the Postal budget. With the advent of No-call lists this problem has been disappearing. You may have noticed that the Post Office now sells envelopes, boxes, packing material and novelty merchandise. They have also increased the number of services offered – next day delivery, package tracking, etc. – and they've been working hard to improve overall service. The USPS is definitely not intimidated by the Internet. They can hold their own.
Remember the USPS is the only government agency that is not supported with tax money. Those stamps actually are supporting their operations.
