I'm starting an invitation business. Is there any specific addresses or names I should use to create samples?
I am not sure if I should make names and addresses up or if there is any guidlines for what to use when making invitation samples.
Why not use your store address, think of it as additional promotion!

Take a look at some of the samples you can find in catalogues or your local card shops. See what types of patterns you find and go from there.

I think the more generic it is the better because then there is no doubt it is a sample. I think that is why people use the name Jane or John Doe.
Just a thought though, use your business name and address. It's free advertising!
You can also research other websites that are in business and copy what the majority is doing. This usually will keep you safe from getting you into any legal trouble. It is just a way to get out of doing the actual research yourself. ;D
